SDTV Ingest Server

The OpenCubeSD Video Server is the most effective gateway between a VTR park and the new IT-based production environment. OpenCube SD provides the perfect answer to Archive migration needs and production using MXF camcorders. OpenCubeSD is the first link to setting up powerful and seamless workflows.

Mastering MXF in the video environment

OpenCubeSD allows users to drive a VTR, capture audio and video streams in real-time, encode media in IMX and DV format, add metadata and create MXF files that are fully compatible with SMTPE standards and interoperable with production equipment. All these tasks are combined in a single streamlined process.

Emulate an MXF VTR

OpenCubeSD is able to emulate a VTR when MXF files are played back natively.Based on an open architecture, OpenCubeSD Server plays back MXF files in both IMX and DV formats and sends the video stream through the SDI in the same way a VTR does. Systems can be driven in Play/Pause, Jog, Shuttle, Rewind or FF.
